Great idea. Padres please.

I like drafting teams that are a challenge. I think you should add one more rule. NO ACTIVE PLAYERS. It is too easy plugging holes in your line up with current stars. Where is the challenge in that?

No active players creates some tricky problems regarding some players. Tim Lincecum, for instance, is technically on the 40-man roster of the Texas Rangers, but he has not yet pitched this year and has not pitched for anyone since 2016. Is he active? Inactive? Retired?

In the meantime, I'm out for now. Making the rules when the league is half full is never a good idea, I think.

Lincecum can be considered not active as a particular case. You have a point about the rules-changing, but it is true that we might have just ended up with all-star team rosters of current players from recent years. Not the spirit of the league idea. So I hope you stay in given that you can use Lincecum, though any player who has statistics for 2019 cannot be used in the league. Playing with the Giants, you have almost 120 years of rosters to work with.

I'm not a fan of changing rules at this stage and I'm not even sure it solves the "problem." There are star players who have been retired for only a couple years who had the sort of careers that are likely to get them into the hall, yet they are eligible for this league. Then you have players who are active today who obviously are never going to get within sniffing distance of the hall, yet they are ineligible. I'll try reworking the roster I was thinking of and see what I come up with.

I haven't seen anybody else's roster, but I only had 2 active players on mine--now just 1 if Lincecum is okay. Maybe it's not as big a problem as it might seem. But I think I can replace the other one easily enough (no insult intended, Buster P lol).
