She didn’t go far enough. She should have suggested that we erect statues of the 9/11 attackers so that we can remember the history.

she didnt say anything horrible..it just wasnt worded in a way that was clear to non - muslims.
she was saying that the terrorists do not represent Muslims esp american muslims anymore then the kkk represents christians even when they invoke christianity..she was distancing herself and other american Muslims from terrorist outsiders.
i know what she was saying...not the best expression...more practiced speakers know how to flesh out their points.
im no apologist for her but we should not have knee jerk reactions.

Dino, maybe she did not mean it the way it sounded, but she is a public figure and should think things out before she says stuff like that. It was a stupid thing to say.

im differentiating a stupid thing to say vs a stupid way of saying something and making that clear before criticizing what she said.
it was said badly and way subpar for a congressperson...yes.

Actually had time to go back and listen to what she said. It was totally valid and not at all controversial.

She was was talking about the burden of being Muslim when the 9/11 attacks happened and being forced to take responsibility for some people who did something evil because they shared a religion.

she was trying to also say that an entire religion should not be defamed by some outliers who dont practice the religion.

Seems like you’re interpreting her remarks as a dismissal of 9/11. That’s not what they are.

Most people have only seen the edited video Trump posted.

seems like you are having reading comprehension problems. All I said was she could have found a better way to say whatever she was trying to say. That way no one would even consider her remarks as a dismissal of 9/11.

I don’t understand your problem with what she said. It was valid and in no way insensitive.
