Waiver Wire 38-Screw Your Neighbor FULL! Topic

The most fun league in WIS is back for another installment. It is Waiver Wire 38-Screw Your Neighbor! Begin by drafting THE WORST team you possibly can, spending AT LEAST $50 million. Trust me when I tell you this is not an easy draft when you spend $50 million! Enter your team in the league, and after 24 teams are in, I will use a random number generator and pair you up with the owner you will "gift" this team to. The other owner you gifted your team to will gift you theirs, and you will re-enter the league with your gifted team. AFTER the 5th game of the season, you may begin making claims, one per calendar day, to build your team off the waiver wire. I will take the person's team who enters last so no one can say I picked or chose my team. The specifics:
  • Goalies for the initial draft are capped at $999,999, so you can't gift someone $27 million worth of goalies
  • $111 cap
  • max injuries are 3, no ml'ers, ties allowed, no trades, NEVER PI
  • No clones
One claim per calendar day until two days before the trade deadline when the multiple claiming period begins. As always, we use the timestamp from WIS on all transactions. If more than one claim is made per calendar day, both players must be waived and the owner may make another claim the next calendar day.
Do you grab the good player in the morning and gamble that no other player will be a better fit for your team the rest of the day, or do you wait until evening and hope someone better shows up. Don't wait too long to decide, as if you do, the player you want will be claimed by another team. Do you gift a team high in PIMs or low in scoring and high on defense? You must spend $50 million, so only you can decide! When you enter your team, please post the team salary in the league forum section. Remember, please spend AT LEAST $50 million.
FULL!

Is it $999,999 per goalie or total.

No goalie over $999,999. Capped at a million so you can’t draft 3 $8 million goalies. When the season starts, no restrictions on who you claim. Just restrictions on the initial draft.

Disagree. They should advertise intelligently, and find a thousand new owners.. In a country of 360 million (US and Can), this is do-able

I disagree because WIS has always killed HOCKEY with slowly 1000 stabs LOL
I AGREE about intelligence but it costs $$$$ and it seems like they budget towards MLB, NBA, NFL... and no budget for NHL.
