Just checked the other two remaining teams and they picked 9th and 14th

I didn't question your intention, I don't know or care what your intention is. I questioned your motivation. I don't like where I ended having to pick, but the league classifieds page I signed up on specifically said ABABB, so I'm going to work with that. You have a nice pair to start in Capela and Vuc, and in the few leagues we're both in you're doing quite well. Take what you feel are unfair conditions as motivation to draft well again, or choose to complain and be unnecessarily defensive. Either way, GL to you.

Yea, I checked too dbKC. 5 of the top 7 picks made the playoffs, and 6 of the top 9. All picks below 13 that made the playoffs were by hall of fame owners with a strong rating.

JP, you're saying because ABAB draft starts AB, therefore 1st pick plus 48th pick equals 24th and 25th pick? not a chance. the picks are not equal in SIM value. and the first pick will get back to back picks at 48 and 49.

by the way, The ABBA draft also starts AB and I would also get to pick again shortly in that format... so your post doesn't actually address the unfairness. It's picking first again in the 3rd round that makes it unfair. The 24th, 25th, 72nd, and 73rd picks is inferior to the 1st, 48th, 49th, and 96th pick. The 24th pick won't get to start "making up the difference" until the 97th pick to start the 5th round. The 24th pick is supposed to make up for 12-13 Lebron James with the 97th pick? Sorry, that is not a superior drafting method. Was it posted ABAB in league classifieds when I signed up?

To address your question...no, it was not changed after you signed up. I copied DDL20 for the classified ad and changed the era. 6544 moved the DDL18 thread forward to address tang asking to see the last current era draft. So I copied DDL18 for this thread and missed changing the old draft order in this thread. Again, this is the 3rd season since the draft order was changed to ABABBA. The old ABBAB was over correcting and as a result more of a penality for getting 1st pick than a correction.

Pex..if you want to discuss this and vote on it, you can open a separate thread on this matter. But it does look like the ABABBA order is a good correction while not being a penalty for winning the draft.

I'm not a good example. all top owners skew the true effect of draft order. I unrest your case, lol. getting the most fair draft order is for the benefit of the rookies who land in the bottom half of the draft or those who haven't drafted 20+ leagues.
