Tim Duncan

I agree with Pex. I don't play all of these ddls but the reason I joined this one was the stated ABBA format which clearly takes some of the sting out of a lousy draw.

I guess I must've missed it, and just went with the flow in the last DDL as well without paying it much attention. so ignorance is no excuse for the law. Truly, owner drafting skill has more to do with winning than draft position, so we really shouldn't draft randomly at all, it should be in reverse order of championships or championships as a percentage of total leagues if we really want to level the playing field. cause if you give gerry the first pick in an ABAB format, the league is over before it starts and rubnsly with the first pick is a hall pass to the conference finals as well.

No question, Smokey is a good guy who takes on the responsibility and a lot of grief. I was the one who asked him the correct the time frame to the 18-19 season, hence the edit.

Googled "building around Westbrook", WTH. As expected, lots of thoughts but no consensus. Duncan an OK pick, and a bit of a punt.

I mean Bradley Beal in the first round? I know you've been out of it and a bit rusty, but I expect more from a past champion (sic)

I haven't looked but I'll bet most of the owners are HOF, I made HOF in a little under 2 years under smokey57. The DDL is no place for rookies...or the faint of heart. For the first time in years I'm in it to win it...lol. Ben Simmons and Josh Smith..I've had worse starts....

Duncan was a good pick. There's probably only one other out there I might've taken over Duncan, but he's in keeping with your Westbrook pick. Win the hustle board, get more possessions than your opponent and take more shots. You'll need OREBs, for all the put backs opportunities you're gonna get, cause you're sure not going to outshoot your opponent. Might try and surround them with some efg% and/or OREB with your next picks. you might consider using the 15-16 season of Westbrook. i know the 16-17 season is the more expensive, but it's mainly only more expensive because of the additional usage. 16-17 brings more DREBs, but 15-16 shoots better and has a better A/T ratio. and do you really want the greater usage to be the worse shooting?

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. Could have gone with more ORB% but felt I needed a little better D upfront. Duncan checks a couple of boxes but now I've got to focus on the things that Westbrook is not.

Wait did I made Bradley a 1st round pick lol no, no,no it's Jason Kidd, Bradley it's a second round pick lol

And the 100 million cap allows to correct mistakes or literally build a monster... And I plan to build a team.... No an alpha lead team that is what I remember works in this league... I won with a bunch of nobodies last time...

It's actually a $1.0B cap. it's not the cap that hinders, we simply run out of HOF players long before we run out of picks. Sim just loves mediocrity,.....(chuckle).
