GUINNESS WAIT LIST Topic

GUINNESS S44 will roll Sunday, September 22, but has no openings remaining. If you'd like to join the S45 wait list, please sitemail NickKappel.

We are HBD's only beer-themed world. Sponsor your franchise with a brewery from the city you choose and join the likes of the Kansas City Boulevards, St. Louis Budweisers, Pittsburgh Yuengling and the Atlanta Jeckyls!

We're had six different World Series champion in the last eight seasons, and our group of engaging, passionate owners keeps the world chat -- and trade chat -- alive all season.

VANCOUVER (62-100) | AL WEST | 4TH PICK: This franchise hasn't made the postseason in 14 seasons, but many of its assets acquired during rebuilding years have just made or are about to make their Major League debuts. Alexi Estrella and Ned Wells are a pair of pre-arb middle-order bats to build around, and 23-year-old Delino Gomez is already in place as the rotation anchor. The bullpen is led by Ramiro Moreno. Recent top draft picks include Willie Collins (S43 6th overall), Torey Mercado (S42 7th overall), Gerald Nakajima (S40 15th overall), among others. Perhaps the best part is that only $17M in player contracts is committed to next season, which gives you the flexibility to build this team how you please. RESERVED by tlowster

CHICAGO (101-61) | NL EAST | 28TH PICK: Here's a rare chance to inherited a championship contender and a team that led Guinness in runs, batting average, on-base percentage and OPS this season. Jake Broome hit .367, Howard Hutch led the team with 36 HR and the switch-hitting Neftali Guerrero had a team-best 122 RBI not to mention a .940 OPS. This pitching staff is anchored by Emil Zumaya and Tommy Wolf, while Louie Manto leads the bullpen. With top prospects Guillermo Caminero, Edwin Theriot and Enny Sanchez all Major League ready, this team is built to win for a long time. RESERVED BY nittany88

Some of the breweries may or may not be fictitious.

I've loved being in Guinness. It was a wonderful way to get into HBD. The owners are very competitive but always willing to lend a hand at the same time.

Great world, great balance. Good communication and competition! Would recommend grabbing one of these remaining franchises while you can!

Additionally, the old Richmond team owns the 10th and 18th picks in the draft.

I'm on the wait list for Moneyball, but given it's the similar core, I'd be interested in Guinness
