I don't think you can ask for much more as far as the other ratings besides control. He's been useful but not good. I used him as a mop up guy before I traded him.

He's my SP1.... on a team that went 76-86 last year. But still...

That guy is awesome. My hunch is 80 gb combined with the splits and pitches to really keep slugging low

Just my opinion, but that guy's got the X-factor in that he's a heavy groundball and strikeout pitcher. If he were giving up any normalized slugging he'd be getting killed. Pretty much the only poor rating he's got is the control, and when a pitcher's got only one poor rating he's pretty much already a star.

I have not figured out slugging yet. Also, it has a lot of variance.

An obp of 315 deserves an MLB spot in my opinion - especially at the league minimum for four years. Then you can see how he does and make a choice if he is worthing keeping around after that.

Give it time he will play to his ratings.
