60 Day DL 20Med boost? Topic

This is my first time running the 20 Training and 20 Medical.

I just had the perfect guy for this get hurt. https://www.whatifsports.com/hbd/Pages/Popups/PlayerRatings.aspx?pid=9205548

He did not lose one point with the "Oblique, strained or stiff"

Its really early in the season so I could get two full 60 day runs with him.If that would help.

How often does a bump come when on the 60 day DL?

Not sure how many bumps he'll get. But just leave him on the DL until one of his updates says Regular Season instead of Injury Recovery.

Thanks, I will keep the updated as it goes.

oblique gets 2 boosts but it doesn't affect any relevant skills, only dur + inj

the good ones are anything associated with Back (strain, stiff, etc) or Neck (strain, stiff) or groin (stiff heh)

First Injury Recovery = +2Con +2Pow +1Dur +1Helth

Yup. Good choice putting him on IR.

I mean, other than the whole, "lose a borderline all-star 3B for 60 days" thing.

You're 16-26, so maybe you aren't making the playoffs anyway, which lessens the impact-- but then, I wonder why he's in the majors in the first place if you're not contending. Is he helping you reach a minimum win requirement?

I cant dog it forever. I wanted to build the team with my draft picks and IFA. So I gave them all 3-4 seasons in the minors. And now its time to bring them up and start to turn the corner. Still have a ways to go but as I start to win more I move money from max scouting to salaries. And hope to pick up one or two Type A guys before I draft out of the top 16.

I don't have a problem with this. Bring the guy up because he is ML ready and had his 4 years of development. Then he got and injury and you are below .500 so you make him even better for the home stretch of this year / next season. I would have done the exact same thing.

There is no one right strategy for playing HBD. The goal is to win a World Series some year or other, and trading a couple of wins this season for a win or so per season for the next 10 or so seasons may be exactly the way to do that. Not what I would have done, but I don't have a problem with it.

I stand corrected, I didn't think oblique was one of the good ones. 99 makeup factors in

Is there a good list for this kind of stuff? Being about 30 games into the season. I have a good opportunity to put together a list and test it. With all my never make it minor league players I'll just keep putting on the 60day.

Has anyone ever had a player get the 60 day boost after having had him on the 15 day DL first and then transferred to 60 day?

I will test this on the first guy I get the chance with. I did have the SIM running the DL in the minors. I now have control of it so I will be testing and tracking everything.
