I pushed it the last two times and had no fatigue so I am definitely going even lower.
I don’t. Ben might. I wouldn’t roll in with less than 19,200 or so at the lowest. 19,300 is my general target.
I have the same targets. 19,300 with maybe 19,200 in a pinch.

I believe dh555 was just under 19,200 with his Wilt team (something like 19,190), but Wilt makes up for some of that with being able to play 48 instead of 45. That’s the only team I can remember winning it all with short minutes.

I do have actual playoff data though.

6 of last 14 teams between 19,200 and 19,300 have made the playoffs. Some proven owners on that short list though.

4 of last 19 teams under 19,200 have made the playoffs. Off the top of my head I think that’s dh555, Midge (with something incredible like 18,700 or so), and then jhsukow and NotoriousJ last season. I believe dh is the only one to win a playoff game with those minutes, but again... Wilt.
All of that sounds right. Except for Midge somehow won a f’ing playoff series with that damn 18,700 team iirc.

I do not recommend that at all though.
Did he actually win a playoff series that season? I knew he made it, but dang.

I could be wrong. I thought I remember him beating DH and him and I saying something about fatigue being a myth in the league chat.

Clocking in at 19,237. When I divide salary by minutes, I don't get any numbers with five or more digits. Then again, I'm no math genius.

If that’s a reference to the numbers I use, it’s just because I gravitate towards Min/82.

Just a thought, by no means authoritative: if I have 19,400 and someone else has 19,200, it means I have less value on my team. Margins are miniscule in this format. I definitely wouldn't draft less than 19,200, but also wouldn't draft more than 19,300.

One thing I've learned from you all is that it's better to get one or two great backups and five terrible players than it is to grab seven backups who are mediocre. Low usage/low eFG% is a good combo, and decent backups with less than 1000 minutes almost never hit their real life eFG% anyway.

It’s funny I always go 19,350-19,500 and usually go with a mix of solid bench guys and no scrubs.

Just proves several ways to be successful
6/29/2019 9:34 PM
Yeah. I may not have all stars on my bench but it is pretty rare I have to resort to having a full on scrub.

Some people like ben and cjok have success with that though. There is no one right way to do things.

Counter point: if you have 11 really good players clocking in at 18,800 minutes, it is MUCH better to get 600 crappy minutes than 400 good minutes with your last guy.

You still have basically the same regular season roster, except your good 11 players are now playing at 100% instead of battling fatigue, and you’re playoff roster is the exact same either way.

I'd rather have 11 really good players clocking in at 18,620 minutes.

I won the first round and lost in seven games in the next round.

Great! At that point would you rather have 580 okay minutes or 780 bad minutes? One of those answers is better than the other.

Well that was a good talk. My bench is now atrocious but I have a few hundred more minutes.
