BIG LEAGUE: 2 Openings Topic

BIG LEAGUE is entering our next season and are looking for a really good owner to take over a franchise. As it now stands, we're looking for 7 owners. Our world is no-drama, stable, fun-filled world. Our league is also highly competitive - We've had 8 different franchises win 10 of the last World series!

We have a minimum win requirement of 120 over 2 seasons.

If you're interested in joining, let me know and I'll send you the password when the league rolls over!

AVAILABLE:

NL North - Philadelphia Phillies - 88-74 - 2nd Wildcard
A high payroll veteran team with over $20M in payroll space opening up. The ML team is loaded but the system is light, so an incoming owner will need to decide whether to keep going for it, or if it's time to unload some vets, stock the system, and start a rebuild. They made the playoffs on the back of good pitching, with hitting that's slightly below the ML average.

NL North - Milwaukee Tiger Cats - 75-87 - 3rd in division
A team that has improved slowly, but has been under .500 for 10 of the past 11 seasons. The farm system very healthy, and the major league team has several star-quality players however they haven't been able to put it all together and get over the hump. The team has a fairly modest payroll ($70M) and no significant free agents.

NL East - Toledo Mud Hens - 80-82 - 3rd in division
A team that is on it's way up after a couple years of re-tooling. The team has a low payroll ($49M), 2 first rounds picks next year, and has been active in the international market. The team has elite pitching, however it scored the 3rd fewest runs in the ML. A few offensive upgrades could turn this team into powerhouse.

NL South - Houston Juicers - 44-118 - 4th in division
It's been a rough couple of seasons in Houston. Years of high picks have failed to translate into success at the ML level to this point. They have the first pick in the draft, and ran a payroll of 36M last season, so an incoming owner has a lot of flexibility when it comes to improving this franchise.

AL West - Los Angeles Dodges - 78-84 - 1st in division
A team that has hovered around 80 wins for 3 seasons after hovering around 90 for 3 years before that. They had a 99M payroll last season, and have no significant free agents to worry about. The minors are in good shape since they've held onto their top guys for the past couple years.

AL West - Fresno Grizzlies - 72-90 - 3rd in division
8 seasons removed from the playoffs, Fresno is another team that hasn't been able to get over the hump. They had an 80 M payroll last season and have about $15M coming off the books this off-season. They have held onto all of their draft picks, so the system should be strong. They were a good hitting team and middle of the pack in pitching.

AL West - Boise Tater Tots - 65-97 - 4th in division
Boise had a down year after multiple seasons hovering in and out of the playoffs. They had a 99M in payroll last season, with 19M of free agents coming off the books. They've also held onto their draft picks from the past few years, so the rebuild is well underway. They have the 3rd pick in the draft
