I was referring to location, doug. Turkey, controlling the entrance to the Black Sea, is the clear winner. Peter the Great recognized that over 300 years ago. Egypt, controlling the Suez, is a close 2nd.

I'm not an expert on this, but I have read that Suez is extremely important for global trade... why is the black sea better?

The Bosporus and the Dardanelles control the economy of Russia. Not covered under International Maritime Law but considered to be sovereign internal territory for Turkey, close them and bye-bye Kremlin. Both passages are very narrow and Turkey has a few old battleships lying around ready to sink (and block the waterway.) Turkey has had Russia by the balls for 500 years.

I is a subject pronoun. Me is an object pronoun. So, "Wylie and I (the subjects) called you (the object) a liar" but "You called Wylie and I liars" is wrong every day of the week.
