In honor of my 35th birthday (8/3), put together a roster from 1984-2018. NO WW, Trades, Injuries, clones - yes 6/2 above average AAA, DH. $88MM cap. Ballparks from 1984-now.

Looking to have some fun, celebrating the start of the back 9 of life LOL.

I think the problem might be in cap at $88m. Might be more appealing if it were bumped to say, $110m-$120m, given the above average AAA and use of a DH. Allowing players to "pick their own" AAA guys might add some intrigue as well.

The fact the WISC just started may be diluting interest at this time, as you have 90+ owners each running 6 teams. Many won't have the bandwidth to participate in other leagues.

redwings makes valid points.. I was interested until I saw computer generated AAA. This depends on luck to get help for your team especially without being able to trade. I would join if allowed to pick our own AAA. Either way, hoping you fill.

Great suggestions by redwingscup and mensu1954. I love leagues focused on recent players and would be happy to join if you bump the cap to the $100-120MM range along w/ allowing owners to pick their own AAA..

oh, and don't be pressured into changing the rules I never join a league that puts rules up to a vote. If it doesn't work, cancel and start a new one.

90 million cap is plenty especially since you are allowing above average AAA which in reality probably pushes the cap to 100+...agree that computer generated is not as preferable as selecting them yourself due to the “luck” factor of computer generated.

Agree w/ rbow. Just beginning the middle third.

Thanks for the advice fellas! I think I may bump to 100 with no AAA. Everyone should be able to have a strong team from there.

I haven't participated in a 'pick your own AAA' before. Hope to see all of you there!

Agree with Jeff. Higher cap leagues turn into all star teams and the performance is random.

Congratulations on your birthday. I like the time frame but not the DH. DH takes $5M or more from your pitching staff or forces you to take lesser versions of your other players. AAA doesn't help much, especially if it's random. Just my opinion. You should do what you want. It's your theme.
