And a 1-5 pm just to dampen the spirit. It's these moments where I am convinced the wheels are about to fall off completely...

Rooting for you, npg

So...will an 85 win average (510) be enough to advance? What's the average cutoff?

Day 7:
The Good - $120M team has fought back with a W5 to get over .500 at 11-10
The Bad - 11-10 is good for last place in that division :(
The Ugly - my WIS playoff win % of .450 . . . I mean really.

It's funny. The regular top dogs are slowly creeping up the standings, surely not panicked by a slower start. I have been off work all August and don't return till after Labour Day so I slowly check the results each session. I literally have mini anxiety attacks scrolling through the games. Usually I am fighting for 80th so there is no pressure. I still don't expect to be there by the end, but each day I see myself near the top I get that much more excited. I know it is way too early, but it is way more fun trying to hold a cage spot than chasing .500 all year.

Well I'm still waiting for my luck to turn. All six of my teams are presently a combined 7-24 in 1 run games.

This has been a really weird tournament so far! I have not had more than one session be better than 3-3 in a row

13.5% into the tournament, the standings mean very little. I'm just hoping I make the cage.
My variable cap team is all over the board. I've scored 0-1 runs as many times as I've scored 9+ runs (4 each)
I am micro-managing half of my teams as of now for fatigue purposes.
My $120M team started off shitting the bed & is now .500. I can't foresee any of my teams finishing below .500 at this point.
I am a rookie compared to the field. I feel very fortunate for this hot start. I 'm just hoping to make the cage (yes, I know I said that already)

As of now, the the cutoff is 89.5 win on avg. Of course, It's way too early too early to predict the cutoff.
The 1st place team is on pace for 105+ wins on avg. Obviously that will not hold up.

My first schwarze of the season propels me...one game above schwarze in the overall standings, and into the cage for the first time this year.

This might be my high-water mark of the tournament, so I'm going to enjoy it for the 10 hours that it lasts even though hopefully I'll sleep for half of them if I ever get back to sleep.

I'm just trying to avoid an 0-6 or 1-5 session. Two days ago I had three 4-2 sessions to move into the top 15. Then yesterday morning, 1-5 and just like that, I'm out of the top 24. Since then 3-3, 3-3 and 4-2. If I go 10-8 every day, that's 540 wins. That's the goal. Haven't had a 6-0 session yet (sorry, I can't call it a schwarze - seems too weird)

I haven't had a good cycle since I briefly entered the cage. Down in the 30s now, I think, after a few 2-4 cycles. This game can really mess with you.

I for the life of me have no idea what I was thinking when I built the variable cap team. My other 5 teams are playing to a .573 win pct, while the variable cap team's .273 will kill any chances of making round 2 long before we even get a quarter of the way thru.

Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong in the early stages has, yet we're at .521, so I feel kind of like it's a win so far

Day 8:
The Good - don't care if it's just blind luck, enjoying this start while it lasts.
The Bad - Yet another extra inning game for my $120M team - serious concerns there fatigue-wise.
The Ugly - Tip O'Neill - dude gets paid way too much to be slashing .240 / .288 / .356
