.551 is the current cutoff. Some kid named Mike is lurking just below that mark...and the pack of wolves right there with him looks like they could just as easily be the Top 10 crowd. This is a very good group...

yeah the combination of an extremely tough field of owners plus a record number of death spiral teams feeding free wins to the other teams in their league is going to lead to a record number of wins needed to make the cage.

Schwarze in the PM2 cycle yesterday had me only 4 games outside the cage - the closest I've been since the very beginning - but we followed it up with a Mauch overnight and a 2-4 in the PM1. I think even if I keep improving incrementally I'm going to wind up outside because of the same problem I've been having in all my themes since I came back to SLB - I seem to be really good at building teams that will win 86-88 games. I don't see a lot of playoff wins coming my way.

Currently outside the Top 24 (as of last night):

• Two former champs (rbow923, mildnhazy)
• Three owners ranked Top 10 to start the tournament (those two and skunk206)
• An owner who finished 2nd in both of his last two appearances (doctorcc)
• Eleven owners ranked Top 24 to start the tournament (those four and crystalao, buddhagamer, wink0094, Relkcirts, sford, redwingscup, skinndogg)
• The owners ranked #25, 26, 27, 28, 29 to start the tournament

This has really been a crazy year

And the 78th ranked owner in the Top 10. Very impressive.

And the 54th ranked owner at #1

Humdogs has teams at 66-67-68-67-66-67. Now that's some consistency right there!

This year,
17 of the top 24 ranked owners are in the top 30 at the 120-game mark of the season

Last year,
18 of the top 24 ranked owners were in the top 30 at the 5/6 mark of the season

Two years ago,
19 of the top 24 ranked owners were in the top 30 at the 5/6 mark of the season
