what are the minimum Innnings and Ab's needed to compete? seems like I was short and it was not fun at all last time I played this salary of $60 mil. Thanks in advance. I'll reserve the Royals for now

It depends on how much you want to manage game to game. I think anything less than 4500 pa and 1100 ip would be flying too close to the sun, and even that is using a ton of AAA, despite how bad they are. That’s the rub of a low cap - how much replacement level performance can you stomach? You need to figure out a way to eat up a lot of PA and IP while maximizing the usage of your real producers.

I usually go with at least 1200 IP,the 2 AAA pitchers are mostly mop up innings, 4500 AB’s is about the minimum. Getting the most out of your AAA and still being competitive is indeed the trick to low Cap success.

I got by with 4100 PA but that means you have to use all 6 of your AAA hitters and some of them are really bad. It's a tradeoff to get better hitters. 1240 innings is my minimum because they AAA pitchers are mopup quality.

OK thanks to all you for the input. I probably went too far then. I have 1340 innings and 4961 PA's

i was near 1200 last season, and i had a couple of my mediocre relievers only be utilitzed like 50% - though that was playing in a pitchers' park and starting a halfway decent AAA starter any time i was in a Petco type or vs a bad hitting team. This season I'm just north of 1100 ip but the quality is higher, so hopefully it goes further, and I'll use my AAA a bunch again
