Are 2 teams ok?
11/16/2019 9:07 AM
Nock, If this is a legal entry I will enter and build a team:

Charlie Hemphill

1899: St. Louis Perfectos
1901: Boston Americans
1902: Cleveland Blues (Baseball reference calls this team the Bronchos)
1903: St. Louis Blues

I think it meets the criteria, but no hard feelings if it doesn't.

Hemphill qualifies

welcome, Steve

I'd like to hold off as long as possible and see if this fills w/one team per owner

(I have a team in the chute - just in case it does, indeed, come to that. If need be, and I see we have stalled, I will open it up)

Ok Thanks, I do have a 2nd ready, should you need it.

can't help but think that the 'cold brew' and 'colbru' nn affected your decision making process

welcome aboard, finn
The second team I was considering was your Hoyt Wilhelm combo... nice choice.

I'm thinking about Kingman, but not sure he qualifies. He played for 4 teams in 1977, including the Mets.... He played for the Mets in 1976, but Cubs in both 78 and 79. He played for at least 4 franchises in 4 consecutive seasons. I'm sure about the back to back "Cubs only" seasons however. Please let me know.
Kingman, in this particular instance, is a 'no-go'

the back-to-back Cubs seasons is the snafu
Thanks, I sort of thought that was the answer

Is this guy legal ?

Dave Altizer

1907 Senators
1908 Naps
1909 White Sox
1910 no WIS season
1911 Cincinnati Reds

I'll play:

Billy Martin: '57 Yanks; '58 Tigers; '59 Indians; and '60 Reds

Sort of....

He played 3 games for the 1910 Reds, so you would use that team

baseballreference.com is the determining factor

I'll go with Joe Smith - 2015 Angels, 2016 Cubs, 2017 Indians, 2018 Astros. Let me know if that works! Thanks

rickey henderson (mets 1999, mariners 2000, padres 2001, red sox 2002)... will get back on which version of the greatest of all time
Henderson has a couple useful combos for this theme. I was thinking about taking him with 2000 Mariners, 2001 Padres, 2002 Red Sox, and 2003 Dodgers. Is this allowed or duplicates?

Otherwise you could use him from 1996-1999.
Rickey is off the board.

your primary player is exclusive

Should this league gain traction and we run another version, I will have to come up w/a blacklist of some sort
Would Henderson be eligible to use from 1995-1998 even though he bookends those years with Oakland?
11/18/2019 10:06 PM
No.

The idea is for 4 different franchises to be represented
11/18/2019 10:49 PM
Bret Boone (1998 Reds-1999 Braves-2000 Padres-2001 Mariners) Using 2001 Mariners version.
