This new cap is going to claim a LOT of victims I think. IMO, most of the top defenses are going to be completely unusable at this cap.

How the heck is anyone going to be able to use the 42 Bears, or the 69 Vikings or the 2000 Ravens or even the 85 Bears at this cap, unless you plan on taking a $6 mill or less QB and RB??? Taking three $2 mill + receivers will be nearly impossible, and probably EVERYONE will have to use a less than $1 mill K and ST.

This is going to be a very interesting draft...probably MUCH different than any in the past in this NDL franchise. It is going to take a completely different mindset and strategy I think.

Well, it hasn't affected the quality of top QBs taken so far! All the best guys are off the board.....

To amerks' first point (hard to use a great D): Since I have two teams, I have aimed to go defense-heavy with one, and offense-heavy with the other. My EAGLES D team could use their *top 20 cost* 34.9 mil squad, but it is more likely I will step down to the $33.0 MIL 1954 version, which is just outside the overall top 50 in cost. I will add a fine punting and punt return game to that team, and dare you to drive the field to beat me. But yes, I had to go cheaper on QB and receivers to do so.

My other team has the Oilers D, from which I will probably use the 1968 version, just under $30 MIL, but at least has high PASS and DRIVE ratings. That team will scrimp on special teams also, and just crank out the offense.

In NDL 11, average spent on defense was $33.7 million. High was 37.6, low 28.2
