You are right on the evals dbkc, which is why I am going to sort out the other spots later in the draft and figure out the Davis/Ginobili back up spots now.

Not sure how it will work out. It is a weird way to build a team. My top three is an ideal ODL start but a little light on minutes for the 52.

I probably wrecked that contender prediction by taking Drexler in the 4th and then the dirty version of Robert Parish in the 5th. It's tough to get that great backup for Giannis with enough usage and then good enough other numbers. Too much usage for 7 or so minutes per game when Parish and Giannis are on the court together. But I like Parish's 19 to 20 mpg behind Giannis with 54.5 EFG, 91 defense along with 27 usage.

You never know. My team last season was predicted to be a lottery team, but I managed 45 wins out of it. And having Parish back up Giannis sounds dirty in a good way (at least for you)

My thought is that defense is really important in this league and that extra usage, up to a point, is helpful. Teams get attacked at every position so defensive balance is important too IMO and also coming off of the bench.

I don’t know about extra usage in general, although it could be useful as a general rule. I tend to make sure backups wouldn’t have more usage than a key starter who would probably play with them, or wouldn’t have too high a TO% to take away from my starters’ production, especially if the backup plays for more than 6 minutes. As long as usage is above 100% at all times and rebounding, passing and D are all above what I would consider average, I’m good. If I have the ability to draft elite two way backups, I’ll do that.
