I don’t get how much people and the media focus on Simmons’s weaknesses. He is a great player. My best guess is that he is unique basically a PF/C playing PG.

But it is odd with other unique players like Jokic people focus on the positive passing/shooting not the negative post defense.

I just don't understand why Simmons wouldn't at least work on an outside shot. (Of course, I obviously don't understand a lot of things.) Even a guy like Giannis, who is much more dominant than Simmons, is willing to work on developing one. Maybe that's why one player is the MVP and on his way to repeating, and the other is a good NBA player.
