Only Foxx and Gehrig were at or near that level early in their careers. Albert came one point (.299) and 1 rbi in 2011 of having 11 straight .300/30 homer/100 rbi seasons.
His 11 Cardinal seasons: 445 homers, 1,329 rbi, .328/.420/.617. Foxx's best 11-12 year stretch looks similar to Albert's.
Gehrig and Ruth have somewhat similar yearly averages, .340, 43-45 homers, 130 rbi. Hard to imagine seeing them back to back in that lineup for a dozen plus seasons...it was impressive enough to see Larry Walker for a brief time hitting ahead of Albert, then Edmonds and Rolen after that...don't get me wrong, those guys don't compare to Babe and Lou...those two were averaging .500 on base between them, driving in close to 300 runs per season.
