I LOVE that I can continually get rsp so riled-up, just by posting truths and facts. There's no need to stoop to his level and name-call or use profanity - the truth does a better job. Of course, he thinks the rest of you not being able to read it gives him some sort of victory, but he forgets, I only do it to abuse and belittle him. I know that's very, very easy, but it's also very, very deserved.

I don't expect Bernie to toe the Party line if he's the nominee. Never even implied that. However, I'm pretty sure he WILL take their $. He'll keep doing what he's been doing - promising "everyone" more and more free stuff while offering no way to completely pay for it. THAT is what I don't like, and anyone with any financial sense shouldn't either.

It isn't so much that I'm a hawk on the military, but deep cuts do cause problems for our maintaining order by peace through strength. Much of the military still has manning and retention shortages. You can only cut so deep. I think we do a horrible job of controlling acquisition costs. Some projects are just ridiculously expensive. We do need to maintain a technology edge or we open ourselves up to big problems.

Please show examples of anything positive long term that Bernie could produce economically. Projections of nearly 10% reductions in GDP don't make my leg tingle. I fail to see mass layoffs as enticing...

"Peace through strength" isn't doing us any favors currently. I agree that it is important to retain our technological advantage, but that doesn't require spending our current sum. Just stay ahead of China, stay ahead of Russia. Don't double them.

For every projection of a loss, there is another of a gain. Some of his policies might cause the GDP to rise, but some might do the opposite.

MADISON, Wis.—As the Madison Metropolitan School District faces a lawsuit over its policy on student gender identity, it’s being accused of discriminating against transgender teachers in the bathroom.

On Tuesday, Madison Teachers Inc. fired out a press release asserting it supports equal restroom access for MMSD students and staff. The union doesn’t like the district’s directive to Frank Allis Elementary School staff to “limit their use of restroom facilities to the single person restroom.”

The union’s Equity and Diversity Committee, as well as MTI’s board of directors, released a statement saying that they “stand with Vica Steel and all our transgender, gender non-binary, lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual or allied (LGBTQIA) staff.”

Steel is a transgender science teacher at Frank Allis. In a letter published in Our Lives Magazine last month, Steel claims that she used the women’s/girls’ bathroom across from her classroom beginning in January after coming out last March. The district received a complaint and asked the elementary school’s principal to come up with a policy barring staff from using the same bathrooms as students.

I think the issue of trans bathrooms and teacher bathrooms are seperate.

Either way they don't need to be in with the kids.

Let the adults sort their issue privately.

My beef is with the administrators keeping the parents out of the equation. They'll pay for that. That's wrong.

We're certainly not maintaining peace through strength by alienating our long standing allies.

Putting Europe and other NATO countries on notice to get their thumbs out of their ***** isn't abandonment. Israel is our best ally in the Midwest. We support them. If we have alienated anyone it is probably due to them whining about us no longer babysitting them. Trump most certainly has stood up to NK, China and Russia. We give them a chance to play nice but we hold the edge and they know it. As formidable as China is they need our cooperation financially more than we need them. They are much more amicable to deal with than they were pre-Trump.
