I disagree, Bernie led the charge against big money

I think Bernie has you fooled. He'll accept all that Democratic money just as fast as any of the others. Sure, Trump did that to, but he certainly hasn't toed the Party line for 4 years.
IF you expect Bernie to follow any "Party line" if elected, you're the one being foolish IMO. There isn't any Democrat Socialist Party in the USA to be beholden to, is there?
He can be free, unfettered, claim a mandate of the People.
Thus, he's dangerous to the power holders with the reins of the Party.

Again, for somebody like you, what's NOT to like?
I don't get it............. except for that secret affinity for Trump and the policy ideas you share with him...........like scorn for the poor.

Call Trump a Russian puppet if you like, is your opinion...

Would Putin really rather have Trump in office, a guy that does not hold back on sanctions and such, providing support to bullied countries when needed, or a guy like Bernie who's gonna be soft on foreign policy? You don't see Putin invading countries like he did on Obama's watch...I'm just saying...

The notion that Trump will get us into a war probably won't fly, seeing as he is getting us away from that business around the world, even as we stand up against Iran, NK and China...his actions have been much more stern than what we saw from BHO, so I think the Russian Pawn story needs to be buried with sand...

Yes, Putin would absolutely rather have Trump in office. That's why he is supporting Trump's campaign with misinformation. This isn't difficult to understand.

Boeing and Northrup Grumman will be building tents and surfboards instead of military hardware..yeah that'll work...

It will be 1981 all over again, the next president will inherit a military incapable of doing much, will have to rebuild to avoid having to negotiate from a standpoint of weakness instead of strength. We saw it under Carter, 4 years of getting run over, uprisings all over the globe.

Uncle Bernie will not get elected. His nomination will lose you the House as well. Obama was too far left for the American people. They reelected him over Romney, but nationwide the country shifted right a bit. It is still moving that direction. Only the Democratic Party is going the other way...that and a bunch of millenials. We will see how that trend goes over the next decade. It too may shift.

I'm not against you, we just have a different vision. I don't think a Socialist trend will bode well for us. We are already up to our necks in debt. If we were in great shape economically, meaning without the debt load, we could take on some big domestic programs. But we can't afford the extra strain on our borrowing right now. Bernie would not get the funding he wants, not even close. He would be forced to water down his programs, probably drastically. No one would be happy with the outcome, especially if the economy would tank as many see his policies doing. He would be under siege from both sides. I see no reason to go that direction at the helm. Better to let Orange Man keep us prosperous and out of conflicts. Perhaps by then you have a candidate that appeals to those near the middle. Then you can have it your way for awhile...

And there's this regarding the guy giving the briefing suggesting Russia's meddling was convincingly Pro-Trump...

Via CNN)

Pierson's characterization of Russian interference led to pointed questions from lawmakers, which officials said caused Pierson to overstep and assert that Russia has a preference for Trump to be reelected.

One intelligence official said that Pierson's characterization of the intelligence was "misleading" and a national security official said Pierson failed to provide the "nuance" needed to accurately convey the US intelligence conclusions.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, where Pierson is a senior official, did not respond to CNN's request for comment.

Trump has been periodically briefed on Russian interference in the 2020 election, but was upset when he learned of Pierson's characterization of the intelligence in part because intelligence officials had not characterized the interference as explicitly pro-Trump. One national security official said Russia's only clear aim, as of now, is to sow discord in the United States.

If you want to debate on the military industrial complex, I'm down. We should slice the military budget.

Re the economy, I think many of Bernie's programs would boost the economy long-term. In reality, he won't be able to pass anything. I'll take that over Trump.

It isn't so much that I'm a hawk on the military, but deep cuts do cause problems for our maintaining order by peace through strength. Much of the military still has manning and retention shortages. You can only cut so deep. I think we do a horrible job of controlling acquisition costs. Some projects are just ridiculously expensive. We do need to maintain a technology edge or we open ourselves up to big problems.

Please show examples of anything positive long term that Bernie could produce economically. Projections of nearly 10% reductions in GDP don't make my leg tingle. I fail to see mass layoffs as enticing...

You got kids? Here is one reason why I vote...and why I pay attention to what my kids are telling me. I don't want ANY faculty sharing a restroom with kids.

MADISON, Wis.—As the Madison Metropolitan School District faces a lawsuit over its policy on student gender identity, it’s being accused of discriminating against transgender teachers in the bathroom.

On Tuesday, Madison Teachers Inc. fired out a press release asserting it supports equal restroom access for MMSD students and staff. The union doesn’t like the district’s directive to Frank Allis Elementary School staff to “limit their use of restroom facilities to the single person restroom.”

The union’s Equity and Diversity Committee, as well as MTI’s board of directors, released a statement saying that they “stand with Vica Steel and all our transgender, gender non-binary, lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual or allied (LGBTQIA) staff.”

Steel is a transgender science teacher at Frank Allis. In a letter published in Our Lives Magazine last month, Steel claims that she used the women’s/girls’ bathroom across from her classroom beginning in January after coming out last March. The district received a complaint and asked the elementary school’s principal to come up with a policy barring staff from using the same bathrooms as students.

It’s been a rough week for MMSD.

On Tuesday, the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty filed a lawsuit alleging district policies that enable children, at any age, to change their gender identity at school without parental notice or consent violate the Constitution.

More so, the public interest law firm alleges, the policy instructs district employees to “conceal and even deceive parents about the gender identity their son or daughter has adopted.”

WTF...we are parents, with a responsibility to care for and make decisions on behalf of our children until they are mature and worldly enough to make these decisions on their own. These people are ******* bent...and is why I don't want progressive judges legislating from the bench. School administrators like these need to be thrown out like a Frisbee.

Here is a headline I never thought I would see

MSNBC Matthews to Establishment Democrats: Vote for Trump

Over at MSNBC, a network that has received the ire of the Sanders campaign due to their overt bias against Bernie, one host appears to be making the case for Donald Trump. Granted, this was more directed toward the Democratic Party establishment and the rest of the anti-Sanders wing. But Chris Matthews, who has railed against Bernie’s candidacy, even suggesting an electoral slaughter, all but told this group of voters to vote for Trump. He virtually said it on live television. To be blunt, Matthews said that the Democratic Party establishment would be better off with four more years of Trump than a Sanders administration and the revolutionary baggage that comes with it.

He compared Bernie's win in Nevada to the Germans taking France in 1940. Gasp.

ANY newsperson that attempts to USE THEIR POSITION to influence the NEWS or the VOTERS is NOT ethically doing his job.
Such behavior is no better than Rush Limbag's life work.

Doc is trying to sound smart. Even though he’s obviously clueless maybe we should let him have his little moment.
