Centre Col. Colonels: Centre is a well regarded liberal arts school in my small hometown of Danville Ky. I grew up playing basketball with and against many of the Centre players and knew their long time coach and his family very well. I wish I had graduated from Centre (EKU instead), as most of their alumni are successful attorneys or doctors.

Transylvania Pioneers: That is a real school and it's real name believe it or not. A private school in downtown Lexington. I attend basketball camp there before my senior year, and had a long time g.f. who graduated from 'Transy.' I was able to throw away two complete sets of encyclopedias into the trash during our relationship - she KNEW EVERYTHING already. Glad she is gone - but wish I had those books back!

TEAM NAME – I think a good idea to fit our theme might be for franchises to adopt a small school name and mascot.

ANY NON-DIVISION 1 college or University. Select ANY school and mascot that IS NOT a Division ONE school.

Maybe a school you went to, or one that may be the alma mater of your wife or Dad or sister, etc. – Maybe it’s the school in your hometown – Doesn’t matter why you chose the name, but your rationale may be interesting. In most WIS leagues I love being the ‘Kentucky Colonels’, or in Decade themes a name with BLUE in title – this BREAKS that cycle – and,
Is there anything WORSE than a fantasy team that is a PUN?! – wow that’s ALWAYS bad (lol)
answer: NO... there is not anything worse than a pun name
