We have always enjoyed the DEAL drafts, and this DEP draft has also been fun...

HOWEVER, to us, the players pool is almost too deep w/ GREAT choices EVERY round...

So I was thinking about way to (sorta) limit the pool...

Some ideas;

1) Limit the number of 'versions' of a player to maybe 3 or 5...Now ya gotta think about if/when to draft a Ruth/Williams/etc...

2) Limit the avail yrs to maybe 25(?)...That way we could do 4 quarter centuries, then repeat...

3) Limit the pool to ONLY HoFers...Would get rid of the one season wonders, PED guys like Barry (big head) Bonds...

4) Limit the pool to only NON-HoFers...Would be a TOTALLY different draft...

Anyways, just brain storming here...Comments/ideas/feedback welcome...

Different salary caps. How much do you invest in top players vs players who may be perceived as less valuable but leave you with more flexibility later in the draft?

Same rules, except limit seasons to 1920-2019 (exactly 100 years, no deadball players). Now, pitching becomes even more important since there aren't dozens of 300+ inning low HR guys available.

Also, align divisions based on total salary. That would add an extra level of drafting strategy.

Good ideas all. I'd like to see how the league plays out for a little while before we change it though.
