Somehow, I managed to spend almost all of it ($79999161.00). I am pretty proud of this accomplishment. I did waste about $3M on 600 surplus ABs.

I have set up the league.

I will now start checking each team. That may take a few days. Once you've been checked I'll sitemail you the league number. I expect there to be some roster problems. There always are.

If you haven't posted your team yet, please do in the next few days.

Solid stats. The roster I had drawn up for you to test daggers only had 6 players in common with what you ended up with. That's definitely a low inning total, but it's doable.

I had built three possible rosters depending on the dagger (Collins, Kaline, and Aguirre). In a way, I had built too many options into my rosters (I actually considered putting Harry Hooper at 2B until I saw his .845 FP and 3.1 range). Losing Aguirre forces me into using the '62 Tigers primarily for their cheap fillers with only Norm Cash being a full-time starter (in the OF, no less).

Sticking them in Shibe Park and hoping my pitching can hold up.

After further review, I have to replace Bill Beckmann with Bob Savage (and his eye-opening 9.1 BB/9).

Bill Beckmann did NOT have enough innings for the 1942 Philadelphia A's

We will play in Veteran's Stadium in Philadelphia.

My team will be playing at the Polo Grounds (V) with it's huge outfield. I'm hoping my fine outfield defense and decent pitching will be successful because I don't have a lot of hitting...

Thanks, Beernoser, for a bringing back this great league theme. It was fun checking out team rosters and trying to build a team - even though my bad neighbors really messed up my plans.
5/11/2020 3:00 PM (edited)
So I'm clear, we can only use the players that load when we load the teams, right? Not any other partial/full seasons - right?
5/11/2020 3:05 PM
That's correct. We all need to be working from the same data.

That's the main reason I want to check every team.
