As a reminder, since it is likely that some (perhaps most) of us will end up with some of our players drawing seasons in which they are not eligible in WIS, league rules provide the following options.
1. In the event that a team finds itself short of PA or IP, or with fewer than 33 players who have an eligible WIS season, they may choose players from the list below to fill out their roster. These players are not exclusive, and may be on the roster of multiple teams in the same season. They may be used in games. They do not count against your contract point cap, and they must be released at the end of the season.

Hopefully this gets everyone to 33 players, but you may still be short. If you have at least 25 players then no worries. But if you have fewer than 25 players after including the 8 guys above, then the following rule applies:
2. If, after including all 8 of the above players, a team still does not have 25 eligible WIS players, they may add any $200K player from the WIS database in order to reach 25. These players may be used in games; they do not count against your contract point cap, and they must be released at the end of the season.
3. After applying the above 2 rules, every team should have between 25 and 33 players for their 1901 roster. If you have 33, great, just fill in your AAA slots and you're good to go. If you at least 25, but fewer than 33 players, then you will be leaving some AAA slots empty, and WIS will fill those slots with SIM-generated AAA players. Any SIM-generated players may NOT be used in league games; they must be kept in AAA all season. Failure to abide by this (meaning if a SIM-generated player appears in even ONE game for you) will result in a 5 contract point penalty for the next season. This is a BIG penalty folks, and I would really rather not levy it, so please please please make sure you understand this rule. SIM-generated AAA players can NEVER be used in games in this league.
If you think you might forget about this, a couple of suggestions. 1.) Make a note in the Team Notes section in the manager center. 2.) (hat tip to winnetka1 for the suggestion) Rename any SIM-generated players to something like Do Not Use, to serve as a very visual reminder throughout the season.
