It's usually within two weeks or so of when the season ends.

Usually the season ends on a Wednesday and they get them out that Friday. It is ending on a Friday now though, so they said they are going to try for Monday. We will see.

My thoughts on a number of matters brought up:

*Personally I think we should wait till the playoffs are over before starting the draft for season 2. It's really not fair to those guys in the playoffs to have to managing up to five teams while drafting five more (on top of all of the other teams they manage - oh yeah, and real life & stuff).

*If the real season is underway by then (which it would be almost over), I would say allow 19-20 players should they be released by the time the draft is finished. Anybody grabbing players with the intention of using 19-20 would be taking a small gamble that WIS won't do what they told Ben that they were doing, but the majority of the player base is going to be unaffected regardless of what 19-20 brings. Giannis would probably be the only guy that I can think of off the top of my head that would jump more than a few spots with a 19-20 season included.

*If the real season does not actually get underway and/or is cancelled/postponed again by then, just run it back exactly like we did it the first time with the big 3 unbanned.

*Hold a lottery for draft slot choice. Can do this any time after the regular season is finished.

*Go ahead and post signups / confirmation list when the playoffs start. I would be shocked if we have to replace more than a couple of owners.

19-20 will be eligible if they are released by the end of the draft(we go on the clock for the last 2-4 rounds)...its up to you if you wanna risk it..that is the savage way

ill start sign ups when the regular season ends but im not in a huge rush to start the draft...i want the odl to play through first

we have a few things to vote on

- banned players...majority wins with my vote as a tiebreaker

- playoff points...we should have a healthy debate about this while we are waiting to start seasons 2...im thinking we can get some good suggestions and then vote on the best ones

- draft lottery...personally id like the do a weighted lottery with all 24 owners...but thats another thing we need to discuss before we start

ill get the polls up for the banned players when the season ends


everything else will be the same as season 1

i really like the idea of a lottery using the NY quick draw like we do in the tepl...the champ gets 1 time slot...amerk would get 24

it would be pretty fun to follow along throughout the day as the numbers comes out...everyone holding their breath at the end as the numbers come out for pex, ben, kinoa etc...

are you guys thinking of zizzos lotto? where he adds up the set of numbers?

im talking about how ash does it in the tepl...doesnt seem that hard to scan for the low first numbers...10 results on 30 pages...wouldnt take that long at all to pick out the low scores

ill still check it out to verify at the end, but i bet owners will be posting updates throughout the day in anticipation anyway...someone gets a 1-2-2 early and i bet theyll be sneaking a peak at that lotto page throughout the day to see if it holds up...it might be more fun/savage this way to drag it out

You probably want to post the numbers for verification, because yeah, that's 300 individual results to sort. It's not so easy as copying & pasting a whole page at a time anymore, as they changed something with the way the website is displayed, so you have to do each one individually and trust me, just doing the 27 that I do is exceedingly irritating. Also, times disappear randomly, so it's real easy to copy the wrong ones down unless you're being meticulous. I am meticulous, but I'm only doing it for 27 numbers. 300 is another story.

I highly recommend you use something else like what dBKC linked for the SCPL (ask him), but if you want to do it with the good ol' NY lotto, well, good luck!

I did that for this league too.

I don’t mind doing it for this league again, even with weighted odds (although I personally vote no weighted odds like season 1) if needed.

It's getting interesting. At least my strategy is playing out. I spread all my best player-seasons across 4 teams and put their worst season in the last team. And that's exactly what I got, 4 conference leaders and 1 team out of the playoffs. I'm not surprised Omaha fell out of the playoffs, I was more surprised it was leading it's division at one point. It's just frustrating that the SIM decided to take it's pound of flesh all in the last 20 games. (4-16 in last 20). I'm not sure what happened, but I've given myself a headache trying to figure it out.

funny how your goals change. Originally it was win all 5 leagues & the overall title. Then it was win the overall title & at least one league. Then it was make the playoffs in all five leagues. Then it was win at least 30 games in every league. Yiiiiiiikes!
