Crazy Random Progressive League(CRPL)
*20 Team League.
*We will start in 1981.
*Everyone will RANDOMLY be assigned 3 groups of players.
1 franchises Catchers and Infielders, 1 franchises Outfielders, and 1 franchises pitchers.(Example: Braves C/IF’ers, Rangers OF’ers, Cubs P’s)
*You will get all rookies that come up with your groups. If a player players for more than 1 team in his rookie season, he will belong to the team in which he first has a WiS qualifying season.
*Each group will be given a “Power Rating” between 1-10, these ratings will be given based on the following:
1. Talent of the players in the group in 1981, including how long they play after 1981.
2. Talent of Rookies that will come up to your group in 1982-1984.
*After groups have been assigned, we will draft players from groups not assigned in order of total power rating, worst to first(1-20). The order will remain the same in round 2, then snake back in round 3 &4 (20-1), then back to 1-20 for the remainder of the draft until teams are full.
*No one will get the same team for more than 1 group.
*You will be allowed to take a player from the 2000 roster of 2 of your 3 groups. (Example-You can bring a pitcher back from the 2000 roster of your pitching teams franchise, and an OFer back from the 2000 roster of your OF groups franchise, etc. The only restriction is, players can not be brought back if it creates a clone. For example, no one can bring back Ricky Henderson as he is already playing in 1981. These players, once selected, can be started at any season of their career. IF a player is on 2 different rosters in 2000 and 2 different teams want him, he will belong to the team he played more games with in 2000.
*Some pitching sets won’t have any good pitchers in 2000 to bring back, in which case, you will have to load up on offensive by grabbing an OFer and an IF/C from your groups and either trade for pitching or try and out score everyone!
*You will end up with 23 players from 1981 and 2 players from the 2000 rosters starting at whatever years you choose, advancing 1 year at a time.
*If a player you bring back from the 2000 season comes up as a rookie on 1 of your groups while he is still playing for you, you will have to decide if you want to keep him progressing as he is or start him over as a rookie again.
*Once you have all your players, via these 3 ways(1981 groups, draft and 2 players from 2000), you must have 25 players, no more, no less.
*In future seasons, all players advance 1 season at a time. You will cut down to 25 or less, then we will draft back up to 25 using rookies from in used groups and players that were not protected. We will also have a 4 round AAA draft of real players that remain, (2 P’s, 2 Hitters) you will not be allowed to use computer generated AAA players.
*Draft order of these future drafts will be reverse order of wins @ game 120, with a minimum of 30 wins to get 1st pick, any less and you will drop to 3rd for 1st round. All other rounds you would still draft 1st.
We will have plenty of talent, and since I’d like to see lower teir guys play too, everyone will use DH.
No to WW, Injuries, fake AAA players.

Trades-You can trade players, draft picks, and even rookie rights to players. These can all be traded up to 3 seasons ahead.
*We will start with only 1 instance of each player, the only way we will ever have a clone would be if someone brings back a player from 2000 and then while he is still playing, he comes up as a rookie on another team, and even then, he will be using a different season.
You will use the stadium and city name of your pitching group, your team name can be ALMOST Anything, but not real team names, no Yankees, Mets or Yanks, Metropolitians. I want to see some original team names. Examples-New York Dinosaurs, Texas Toros etc.
