I have Lung Cancer Topic

Just completed 3rd session of heavy chemo(7.5 hours) 12th session overall( 6 heavy, 3 light, 3heavy)

PET/CT Scan next Tuesday and follow up visit oncologist next Thursday

Had a weird reaction today to the Carboplatin, got really flushed, clammy and lips swelled up, called nurses and doctors over, they disconnected that drip, gave me a shot of Benadryl, I immediately felt better and 15 minutes later we continued treatment

Did that even need to be asked? Dude is the most loyal Jets guy on the eastern seaboard. He’s getting a new qb and hanging with Brothers. Love it.

I had my Radiation Simulation last Friday and will begin 5 weeks of radiation to attack a new area of concern in the center of chest( persistent intense focal activity in the subcarinal nodal station). The cancer cells in right lung have either decreased or remained the same with new chemo treatments.

Hang in there bronx. Believe me, I can relate. 4-5 hour chemo sessions every other Tuesday for the last 19 months except for a 6 week break because of emergency surgery for a burst colon. Each session followed by carrying around a chemo-infusing pack for 46 hours. It's mentally and physically draining. Most recent CT shows that we finally may have found a concoction that works, after 3 failed ones. Only time will tell. Stay strong!
