Thank you guys, and to those who site-mailed. As I replied to a couple of you, the smallest "little" message can often mean a great deal to the person on the receiving end, so never hesitate to reach-out to someone if you're thinking about them.
In a related plea, be sure to get your colonoscopies. I was healthy and stubborn, so never had one at almost 55. Will never know if my cancer would have been found before stage 4, but it might have, and almost certainly wouldn't have spread to my liver and lungs. Don't want to do it for yourself, then do it for your loved ones.
Due to family history (thanks, mom!), I've been getting colonoscopies on a more frequent than usual basis since my early 40's. I think I'm up to four so far, and am now on a three year cycle between procedures (next one is next year, I think).
The prep the night before is a *****, but a small price to pay when you consider the alternative.
