*ahem* "...almost nobody..."... I genuinely thought this roster would do better, even with so many other great rosters/owners. I see the flaws I overlooked/underestimated though, and I'll do better S3. How much better? Not sure, but not this far in the gutter again.

It was a while ago, but Doc's Celtics teams won 2 game 7's in 2008 including one against LeBron. 1 - 1 the next season beating Rose and Noah's bulls, then losing game 7 to Howard with the Magic. Then in 2010 losing game 7 to Kobe and the Lakers. 3-2 in game 7's those 3 years.

Guess my point is it's mostly about the players.

The Celtics fought bravely against the 7 seeded Bulls. Keeping John Salmons and Ben Gordon in check is no easy task.

To be serious though, you are right, the players play the games and Paul George and Kawhi were a combination of awful/invisible. That is the culture that Doc finds himself in too often though. He is a conductor for unearned arrogance. The game is not that easy when you don’t have KG and Thibs there to keep people accountable.

That's fair. But don't sleep on Gordon, he had his moments!
