Good pick by Biden. Makes me far more comfortable with a Biden presidency.

Why do you believe it was it a "good pick", and why does it make you more comfortable?

I really don't like her. I lived in California when she was rising to national prominence. There's nothing specific I can point to, but I just always got the impression that she's more ambitious than principled. This obviously isn't true of agenda/priorities, but when it comes to political personality I think she's a lot more like Trump than she is Biden. After going through 3.5 years of a POTUS who cares more about personal aggrandizement than doing the right thing, I would have preferred literally anyone else in contention, even if their political positions were much further left.

To all3 literally everyone is "radical left" so nothing Biden would do would have mattered. Biden could have picked John Kasich, and all3 would have decried the rise of socialism in the Democratic Party.

I'm not a big Kamala fan either, but when it comes to moderates, I'd much rather have one that's ambitious than one that's principled. Makes it easier for Progressives in Congress to push them left.

if you ask me, all politicians are more ambitious than principled. There may be a few exceptions, but not many.

I've been getting bashed here for over 4 years for trying to make that exact point. Maybe now that someone on their "side" has said it, others will start waking-up. The vast majority of Politicians will say whatever they think voters want to hear, and will do whatever the Party wants them to do. Anyone truly think Harris would have been Biden's pick without the Party pressuring him? If so, I've got a "great" used car and parcel of land I'd like to sell you.

Ok maybe I'll be scared again. I have progressive-phobia

So don't vote for Progressives in Congress then. As of right now, most Democrats in Congress are moderates. So there's nothing to be scared of.

like I said, there may be a few exceptions. I am not entirely convinced Bernie is one of them, but he's probably closer than most.

I've said that here many times. Politicians will say or do whatever they have to say or do to get elected or reelected. That is all politicians. If a politician won't do or say whatever it takes to get elected, it is most likely he or she is not a very successful politician. And me saying that won't make any difference to anyone.

The way politics works is that you vote for the best candidate in each election. Biden is a better candidate than Trump, with better policies and a better vision for America. Don't overthink it by focusing on the "radical left" boogeyman.
