Also, isn't it just a little ableist of you to assume I can go for a hike? Bigot.

So go for a roll instead, or close your eyes and pretend you still have arms. It's really none of my business. I just recall the trees being quite lovely.

Not sure if Core realizes this, but with a 6 person Conservative Supreme Court, you will never get M4A, or comprehensive CJR, or anything else. Furthermore, Trump will continue to erode voting rights. Good luck getting a progressive elected when more black people can't vote.

Even strategically, this is a really, really stupid decision. It doesn't make sense at all. I'll concede that Trump winning in 2020 probably makes it more likely that a progressive wins in 2024. But the risk is so high, and the cost so large, that it's not worth it, not even close. Politics isn't a binary. Capitalists bad, anti-capitalists good. Biden's not the ideal candidate, but the difference between him and Trump is large enough that it outweighs the small chance that a progressive wins in 2024.

Any basic risk analysis would find that your best option is voting for Biden.
I am not convinced that there will still be a supreme court we need to worry about in four years. The point of revolution is not to retain the old structure of government. Voting for Trump is voting for the failure of the old system. A system founded by racist white men, a system founded on the principle of slavery. Trump, I am convinced, can fuel a progressive revolution. Can fuel a socialist revolution. Can fuel an end to capitalism itself. This is my idealistic (and some might say naive) hope at least. And not just an idle, vain hope, 99% of the people I meet on the streets feel the same.
It is naive. Trump will NEVER allow your socialist revolution to take place. You didn't even come close to seizing the means of production this time around, and you still had plenty of people advocating for live rounds being used against you. What happens when you start actually living up to the strawmanned version of what conservatives think leftists are? Not everything is this simple. Capitalism can be made better. It's not automatically a hellworld as long as we have it around. Your argument only makes sense if we assume that Trump and Biden are functionally similar.

Can you give one example of accelerationism working?

For one thing, Brett Kavanaugh will be arrested and thrown in prison the second a real progressive takes control of the government.
There's at least a 50% chance that if Trump wins a second term, you'll be thrown in prison as well.

Keep in mind that by voting for Trump, you're throwing up a good 'ol middle finger to gay rights, to immigrants in cages, to the millions of uninsured people who would be covered by a public option, to the families of the 150k who have died due to COVID, to the millions of people who will suffer when Trump defunds Social Security, to the dozens to hundreds of people who will die as a result of avoidable police brutality, to the people who will be locked up because apparently antifa is a terrorist group now. I'm probably missing stuff too.

Frankly, your opinion is one which could only come from a voice of privilege. To throw all of this away simply because "they're both capitalists" is remarkably short-sighted and selfish.

Just remembered climate change as well. Good luck reversing that **** after four more years of Trump. And good luck to the millions of climate refugees, you're probably going to be ******.

gee, I thought he was going to admit he is an idiot. I guess he sort of did, didn't he?
Im still not convinced it’s a real person. This is hilarious.
Oh, I think it is a real person. What I am not sure of is whether he/she/it/they actually believe any of the **** he/she/it/they are spewing.

LOL!!!

The spice speaks.
Says he votes!!

Now he's a comic.
Who freaking cares about a spice that trolls a few old white guys gabbing to each other on a SIM baseball website.
It's just jerking chains. Bet it's NOT even a Yale-ee, nor a gender-neutral protestor against the U.S. of A's Law.
It's some HS kid with a short ****/or inverted clit? and too much time on their hands trying to jerk around a few old dudes.

Stop biting.

I don’t know whether he’s ecstatic or ludicrous. Ponder that, trivia buffs.

Either way, Carlos Correander is a first-class ding-a-ling from the, “I’m voting for the LIAR” sect of “progressives.”

Americans are the only people I know of, closely followed by the British, who think everything should be their way immediately. And forget anyone who disagrees. Let's write them off as uninformed, uneducated, or brainwashed.

The truth of the matter is that change happens slowly, and it happens with everyone. Not just your team, or your clan within the team, everybody has to be on the boat or it becomes a *** for tat game of one-upsmanship until somebody comes along and says 'you people can't handle freedom anymore, I'll take care of it for you.' The people on that person's side go along as if it couldn't have been the opposite while the other side is cleansed. A generation later, that side rises up and welcome to the Balkans.

Here we have a person in OP willing to vote against their own beliefs because they think it will spur on a revolution. You're kidding yourself. Nobody is revolting, and who is to say if they did it would end up your way? Only people who have never lived through violent change wish for something like this. Knock off the 'woe is me because everything isn't perfect' and do what you can to change what you really have a problem with. The cavalry isn't coming to help, you have to clean up your own mess. Most of the world understands this.

F'n Americans.
8/12/2020 7:34 PM
Not all Americans are like that, and you're pretty revolting!
8/12/2020 7:37 PM
If this "revolution" happened, there's at least a 75% chance that we end up with an even worse fascist on the other side.

if coreander got exactly the revolution he wanted, I think life might be worse than it is now.

...but the next revolution would fix things. And if not, the one after that. Or the one after that.

It's pathetic to see anyone wish for this sort of thing when there are other options. It shows that person has never actually feared for their life because of their lineage, location, or beliefs. Rubber bullets and flashbangs from federal agents for a few nights each week while you sip lattes during the day and work on the design for your next meme sign doesn't exactly count as oppression.

Bunch of *******.

Ok, how about the American Revolution? Or the French Revolution? OR the Russian Revolution? Revolutions bring a lot of good...unless you're a member of the privileged class or the ruling party.
