The "ORIGINAL DRAFT LEAGUE" 77th SEASON

Salary Cap - $47M

Rules

1. No clones, rookies, or waiver wire.

2. The team owner is responsible for drafting and managing a team that remains in compliance with the league rules.

3. Each owner is responsible for verifying compliance with league rules of their opponent. If a rules violation takes place, it must be reported to the league commissioner by sitemail within 3 games of the violation taking place. Violations greater than 3 games back are not subject to review by the commissioner.

4. 7 exclusive drafted players, plus 5 non-exclusive undrafted players. The 5 non-exclusive undrafted players may be any player not selected in the draft. Each owner must use their drafted players.

5. Draft Sequence: ABABAB. 1 pick rounds 1-5 and 2 picks in round 6.

6. Draft order: Owners will have the option to choose their draft slot by picking closer to 1 or 24. Owners will be slotted closer to their preference based on inverse finish of the previous season. Tie breakers are decided by WIS seeding if in the same conference, plus/minus if not. Regardless of record, the champion will be slotted last among returners with the runner-up slotted second to last. New owners are seeded after returning owners by order of entry. It is assumed that an owner wants 'closer to 1', unless stated otherwise. The returning owners that did not make the playoffs and chose closer to 1 will be in a weighted Random.org lottery. The lottery will determine the first three picks.

7. A posted pick is FINAL. No changing picks after a selection is posted.

8. During the draft, site mail the next 2 owners on the schedule after making your pick, or state that you cannot site mail and somebody will take care of it.

9. Draft will be on the clock. 24 hour rule in place.

10. Divisions: There will be a division draft among the division winners from the previous season. All four division winners will submit a list of all 24 owners ranked by whom they want in their division. The owner with the best record the previous season will get first selection regardless of postseason finish, second will get second selection and so on. It is not a snake draft. If a previous division winner is not returning, the spot will be filled by the owner with the best record regardless of division. Lists will be made public.

11. The "Commissioner" may take control of any team refusing to comply with the ODL league rules. A warning will be issued in the league forum and a sitemail, after which the owner has 3 games to comply. All games in violation are 'losses'.

Is it too late for me to switch to closer to 24? I feel like my teams keep ending up too familiar to one another and maybe mixing it up will be a good exercise.

I guess I didn’t think it out too much. Went from 16-20. Oooh. Such a big change.

He did send a sitemail on 9 Aug 20 but with Savage there were a lot of sitemails.

If you are deeply hurt by not making it in, I would give up my spot so you could be in.

Sorry heel! I sent out a sitemail to everyone and it has been posted in the classifieds for over a week, but I should have followed up with you. If anyone drops or no shows, you are in. You are first on the wait list for next time.

I for one am bummed about no tarheel.

To be clear, I'm not deeply hurt, I was just surprised to see the draft order without me on it. I went back and found the sitemail; honestly never saw it. I would like back in as soon as possible but no one needs to drop for me.
