[After a blowout victory] That still only counts as one!
HAHA. I have not watched these movies in almost a decade, but they are deeply ingrained in my mind.

OK I've got my bargain basement frontcourt in place, Caldwell Jones and Noah Vonleh. (Primary frontcourt backup is undrafted, and trust me, he's even worse than those guys.) Here's the guys I drafted:
Name Team Pos Usage% eFG% OReb% DReb% Ast% Stl% Blk% Def Min 3PM
Charles Barkley 89-90 76ers PF 24 60.8 12.9 19 11.5 2.1 0.9 50 3085 20
Julius Erving 73-74 Nets SF 27.8 51.7 7.5 17.5 13.4 2.2 3.1 100 3318 17
Caldwell Jones 81-82 76ers C 12.2 49.7 7.9 23.8 4.5 0.6 3.3 90 2446 0
Damian Lillard 19-20 Trail Blazers PG 30.3 56.3 1.3 9.8 24.5 1.2 0.5 48 2742 300
Noah Vonleh 18-19 Knicks PF 14.8 52.3 6.3 24.3 9.5 1.1 1.6 52 1722 46
D'Angelo Russell 19-20 Warriors PG 32.2 52.4 1.3 10.6 24.4 1.3 0.5 40 1336 152
James Johnson 19-20 Heat PF 20.4 55.7 4.5 15.2 15.1 1.8 2.9 90 749 40

Russell backs up Lillard and a couple minutes behind Erving; Johnson backs up Barkley; other backups undrafted.

Defense is obviously a problem; I'm asking Erving's 3300 minutes of 100 D to do a lot. Rebounding is a relative strength, even with mediocre rebounders in the post, thanks to Barkley and Erving. Fouls and turnovers are decently high. I think we should score relatively well, thanks to Barkley and Lillard, though assists aren't particularly high.

Starting lineup has 35.9% orb, 94.4% drb, and 63.4% assists. Someone smarter than me would have to do weighted D and efg% averages, though just eyeballing it I'd guess the starting lineup is around 55% weighted efg%. Team as a whole, adding in the scrubby dudes, is probably around 53.5%.

If anyone wants to do weighted eFG, here’s the Excel formula I use (change the column and row names appropriately if needed. E is USG, F is eFG. 2-6 is where I have my starting 5)

=SUMPRODUCT(E2:E6,F2:F6)/SUM(E2:E6)

with 04-05 (100 D) 1349 minute Kirilenko backing up Draymond plus one of the low usage Iguodalas backing up Buse.
This looks really nasty, honestly - will be interesting to see how you fill the higher-usage backup minutes behind Davis, Nash, and Jonas.

Yeah...that part is looking tricky haha. My bench D will be solid so hopefully they can survive off of that. I’m glad to work Buse in to a starting lineup, I always liked his game and he doesn’t see enough play.

If you plug your starting 5 in to excel on rows 2-6, and have each player’s eFG in the F column and each player’s USG in the E column, then you can paste this formula in to another cell to poop out their weighted eFG ;)

(where it weighs the guys with higher USG more heavily)

Actually I’m pretty bad with this stuff compared to some people. I’m sure someone will come to tell me my formula is wrong in 3...2...

Rose to back up Harden for usage. Nance providing some D on the frontcourt + Robertson on the back-court.
We will be turnover happy, but hope to have plenty of second chance with OREB!

mptrey's division looks real tough, but he was a lot lower on some owners than me and pharrop's board also looked really different from my own. So I could be totally wrong.

I put it together fairly quickly and basically the entire division I drafted in the most recent 52 draft ended up over .500 so I wouldn't put much stock into my division drafting abilities. It could be a long season.

Without seeing usage/min and some other things it is not an easy task.

I had hoped to see the teams to be able to finish the evals before the weekend is over. Won't have time to work on it again till Friday. I added a sentence or two as I was doing my division draft picks. I posted those.

Hope to carve out some time Wednesday night to do some predictions.

First time doing this. Appreciation for those that do it well.

I got a lot better at division drafts when I stopped trying hard at them. If I spend more than five minutes on it, it is too long.
