As someone with Paleface, Injun, and Spade blood, I think baseball players should all be called "They." They Ruth. They Gehrig. They Koufax. They Maddux. They Mays. They Mantle. They Ortiz. They (not You) Darvish, They Jansen... Better yet, They They for them all.

If we can believe Wikipedia, Jay Clarke was given the name "Nig" due to his dark complexion, very unfortunate, so... he never asked for it... so why not let him be called by the name his parents gave him? (Unless, being named by one's parents is becoming offensive in the 21st Century, that is.)

"They" is non-inclusive. It implies outsiders.

Everyone should be named "We", so we all have a sense of community and belonging.
