Its time to display the full year of player Topic

Maybe developers can change '18 to 1918 or 2018 on the lineups page and throughout the site where applicable. Its getting confusing.

I think it just depends on experience or how well you know players.

I can mostly tell the difference between say 1897 players and 1997 players. You see a Martinez or Rodriguez vs a Donahue and Burkett for example, you can just tell

Dummy Hoy, who was deaf and mute, is supposedly the reason why umpires use the “safe” and “out” signals we all know. There’s a great section on him in The Glory of Their Times. Pretty sure nicknaming a deaf guy “Dummy” wouldn’t play these days! Read up on him, seems like he was an amazing guy and player (not to mention I use one of his season a bunch in WIS).
