Today is a chance for us to make respecting, sharing & educating about personal pronouns more commonplace

Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is basic to human dignity

I am so excited for the day when there are no more right wing transphobes and asking someone their personal pronouns at the beginning of every conversation is expected and normalized :)

This but unironically. Not sure why this is so scary to right-leaning people like guitarguy? It's just common courtesy.

Or, just use "they" and if you mess up, it's ok. I've used the wrong pronouns for people before. I don't get sent to jail, they might just correct me, and I'll change it. It's really not complicated.

maybe its me, but if I am talking directly to someone, I will either say you, or address them by their name.
