For far too many, wealth is KNOWING you'll have food and shelter next week.
This more than a few, this total BS. I see many people every day who I know live paycheck-to-paycheck, yet they have no problem buying $1000 phones, $200 sneakers, and ridiculously priced clothing. Many people choose to make themselves "poor" with their "I deserve it." choices.

very true

but you are not addressing my concern

the wealth of the nation is concentrating in the hands of the rich

at some point the people take

lets adopt some remediation policies

Some people with 1000 dollar phones have no car which is a lot more then 1000 dollars and some people with 200 dollar Jordan sneaks have that instead of other shoes.

why can’t poor people have a few pleasures too.
must 100 % austerity be their punishment for being poor.

25% of Police killings are of folks with KNOWN mental issues.
Yesterday, many folks here in the U.S. dumpster dived for food.
Many other places on Earth have even poorer folks. People without a future.

Here, we have folks with 5 or 6 million dollar homes. 1 for summer. 1 for winter. 1 at some beach. a couple just because.
Here, we COULD take care of our poor, we COULD try and help solve their problems/rectify some of their tinier issues.
But OUR Government has stopped working for regular folks.
Two Parties play games of control, spend our tax dollars on frivolous matters.
Send stimulus checks to folks in Sweden and Australia-----OUR tax dollars!! and even after discovering it was done (and in most cases HOW and why) they make NO attempts to fix the problem. Hell, they get paid...........what do they care? Many (Trump) pay NO taxes.
The IRS just says they're counting on folks to send the money back.
I heard one guy in Australia interviewed. He said something like ".....luk wid dat mate"
I would have spewed coffee at how stupidly silly it was until the Australian guy reminded me that the Check said U.S. Treasury and was followed with a Congrats letter from Trump! Congratulating someone for receiving (in Australia mind you!) MY tax dollars.
Meanwhile, he's firing folks for doing a good job making sure our elections are fraud free and pardoning KNOWN criminals and dirty swamprat pals of his-----------the very guys he pledged to drain DC OF!!

I await Karma to demonstrate its power!
In some State Court in the near future.

Why should we rob from people who worked hard for their money, while rewarding those who refuse to even try?

All3 a more fair tax system as long as it is fair and appropriate is not robbing the rich.
right now the tax system is wrong and unfairly skewed to the rich.
our Democratic capitalist system is based on a progressive tax system.

there has always been fringe right wingers who believe in no federal taxes or a rigged flat tax because they believe that the rich are entitled to keep all their money. It is a la la land fantasy.

it is not our system.
