Thought about that but I like the purity of building best possible team from that season, if we run it back at some point I'll consider returning owner votes on a lower cap for sure. And I'm not convinced recent seasons will dominate - the rebounding and defense numbers are better in earlier years.

I love this idea and will pick one, but building on DH's post you're going to have a hard time filling teams 15-24 because they will just have no shot against the more recent seasons. Cap is a good idea, maybe later picks get to choose multiple seasons?

I think a cap would actually help the more recent seasons - if you look at the top 100 salaries they almost all pre-date 2010. I'm going to leave it as is, I am pretty sure it will fill and I like the single-season concept. We will be putting the seasons into divisions by year, so the more recent teams will have to battle it out amongst themselves to get to the playoffs, and once there anything can happen!

PS I think my 89-90 team is going to dominate the soft millennials in today's NBA....

Appreciate the input but prefer to keep this as single season smackdown. If we have trouble filling I'll consider some aggregated entries for time periods that are not represented (e.g. a 50's team with any player from 1951-1959).

In the interest of getting some earlier seasons represented, the Commissioner will accept an aggregated 1950's (1951-52 to 1959-60) entry and a 1960's (1960-61 to 1969-70) entry. We will also allow two 1970's teams, one from 1970-71 to 1974-75, and one from 1975-76 to 1979-80. No clones allowed on those teams.

I would have jumped on 19-20, but it's gone. I'll take the 60's please. That's if you'll let a "rookie" in.

Thanks, the 60's don't have great stats compared to the recent years, so I'm sure it'll be rough. But should be fun.
