CLASS – Action – Progressive (CAP)

FOUR year tenure for your drafted players.
EACH DRAFT is helpful – Not the typical 4 to 5 studs, and the quick drop off in talent.
REBUILD isn’t the typical 5 to 6 seasons associated with many progressives.

Utilizes college CLASS system.
(Freshman has 4 years tenure with franchise, Sophomore: TWO years, Junior: 3 years, and Senior: 1 year)
The theme has NOTHING to do with a players Alma Mater -

Each season: Franchise Loses THREE players, and DRAFTS THREE players.
Each franchise will always contain: 3 seniors, 3 Juniors, 3 Sophomores, 3 Freshman –
The Initial FIRST draft will stagger each franchises CLASSES (Subseqent drafts: All Freshmen)

DETAILS:
• DRAFT: Positions TOTALLY RANDOM each season - SNAKE
• INTITIAL DRAFT: (1st rnd.: SENIORS) (2nd rnd.: JUNIORS) (3rd rnd.: SOPHMORES) (4th rnd.: FRESHMAN) (5th rnd. : SENIORS) (6th rnd. : JUNIOR) (7th rnd. :SOPHMORES) (8th rnd. :FRESHMAN) (9th rnd. : SENIORS) (10th rnd. : JUNIORS) (11th rnd. : SOPHMORES) (12th rnd. :FRESHMAN)
• SUBSEQUENT DRAFTS: Three Rounds – All players are FRESHMEN (4 year eligibility)
4/29: Draft Positions will be use a RL lottery to generate random numbers for each team and determine order. 1 to 24
4/29: order for each round: ABBA (#1 get top pick in round 1 and round 4)(#24 gets top rpick in round 2 and round 3)

• SEASON ONE: 1971 – 1991 – 2011
• SEASON TWO: 1952 – 1972 – 1992 – 2012
• SEASON THREE: 1953 – 1973 – 1993 – 2013… etc. etc.

• NO TRADES –
• NO CUTTING of Players – Player get ‘scholarship’: the franchise has him 4 seasons.
added 4/28: Players may be drafted as Freshman regardless of having seasons past the first one.
Teams are NOT required to draft players who have a Sophomore, Junior, and or Senior season(s).
A player MUST HAVE a Freshman season.
• ‘GRAD TRANSFER’ – IF you have a player who missed one of his 4 scheduled seasons: he can ‘Red Shirt’ and the Franchise can draft replacement in Supplemental Draft (‘Grad Transfer’ player for one season) – the injured player does not get a 5th year w/franchise. IF your franchise does not have 19860 minutes: Franchise can draft replacement in Supplemental Draft (‘Grad Transfer’ player for one season). The Franchises Low minute player for that season will be a ‘Red Shirt’.
• POST ‘GRADUATION’ – When a player exhausts 4 seasons, he is eligible to be drafted. STAGGERED REENTRY: To break the cycle of ‘boom or bust’ draft classes, a players eligibility to be redrafted is based on his draft order. Players drafted in odd numbered slots (1,3,5,17th…) can return in odd# years (ex: 1993, 1995, 1997…) after ‘graduating’. Players drafted in even numbered draft positions (#2, 4, 6…22nd…) can return in EVEN# years (1982, 2012, 2014, 2016…) after graduation.

EXAMPLE #1: John Doe is drafted in the SEASON TWO draft – Doe is picked with SIXTH pick of 2nd round. He plays season 2, 3, 4, 5. He was selected with an EVEN numbered draft pick – he can return EVEN number season: ELIGIBLE season SIX.
EXAMPLE #2 Jimmy Smith is picked with 11th pick of round three in season SIX. He plays seasons 6,7,8,9. He is eligible to return season ELEVEN (because selected w/ ODD# pick), and has to sit out season 10.
(this can EASILY be determined and tracked in Player Selected List)

yes, a mistake on my part

Correction:
Freshman has 4 years tenure with franchise, Sophomore: three years , Junior: 2 years, and Senior: 1 year)

I keep the roster database in a spreadsheet, and adjust the classes before each season

Unique League here. Much quicker turnaround than mosr Progressive, and no "super" teams.

Some seriously good ballers on that team.

We're ready and waiting for you.
