We are just completing the playoffs in the first version of the No Awards League, using players who had NO AWARDS (there is a setting in the Draft Center) who played between 1941 and 1991; and we are just starting the season in our second iteration, using players from 1960-2020.

But, although this league provides for a LOT more players utilized and much more varied rosters, we are still seeing a good number of repeat players.

So, here is version 3.0: NO AWARDS FRANCHISE LEAGUE. ALL PLAYER YEARS WILL BE 1947-2020.

OWNERS WILL CLAIM A FRANCHISE THAT WILL BE UNIQUE TO THEM. ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE PLAYED FOR THAT FRANCHISE IN THAT YEAR. Please see the usual references for frachises as opposed to team names: for example St. Louis Browns/Baltimore Orioles; Philadelphia-KC-Oakland Athletics; Boston-Milwaukee-Atlanta Braves; Washington Senators/Texas Rangers etc. etc. . ALL PLAYERS MUST SHOW NO AWARDS UNDER THE "AWARDS" SETTING.

Salary cap as always is $80 mil. Standard 24-team 4/4/4 with random alignment of divisions. No clones, WW, trades, AAA or DH. Injuries on.

Must use a ballpark your franchise used.

How good are the Yankees or Dodgers without their star season players? Will the expansion franchises have a shot now?

Yikes ! I had forgotten to put the player years that are allowed: 1947-2020.

The problem with pre-1947 is that except for All Stars, who were very few, and even that dates from the 1930s, there were no awards. So that would let in all the pre-WWII superstars. Not the idea of the league.

The particular year you draft the player for. But of course it means we exclude ALL Hall of Fame members, since that is an award. That part is lifetime.

But players who were All-Stars or MVPs, Cy Young winners, Gold Gloves or Rookie or Reliver of the Year one year, are still eligible in the seasons that they did not win any awards, so long as they are not Hall of Fame members.

But it is simpler than this, as the instructions above state, just go to the draft center, set the setting for "Awards" on "No Awards" and you should get only players that have no awards, which means you will find no members of the Hall of Fame, and players in seasons in which they won no awards only.
