When you sign up for this league, you will be given a random day of the year generated using Random.org (excluding February 29). You will then choose a current or former MLB player who either was born on or died on your random date. You’ll need to use the lists of ‘Players born on this day’ and ‘Players who died on this day’ to view your eligible player options. Here are the links to those lists: https://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/birthdays.cgi & https://www.baseball-reference.com/friv/dateofdeath.cgi. Between the 2 lists, you should end up with a minimum of around 60 players to choose from. Note that the lists default to the current date, so you’ll need to enter your random date in order to find your correct player options. After you’ve chosen your player, you’ll then build your best $110M roster using only players who appeared on the same roster with your chosen player at some point during his career (per baseball-reference.com). Your player's teammates may also be twisted to any season of their careers.

For example, say your assigned random date is August 12 and you select Enos Slaughter from the ‘died on’ list. You could then use any players who appeared on the rosters of the following teams: St. Louis Cardinals 1938-1942 & 1946-1953, New York Yankees 1954-1959, Kansas City A’s 1955-1956, and Milwaukee Braves 1959. And, all of those players can be twisted to any season of their careers.

No DH, WW, AAA, trades or clones. You must use a ballpark that was a home field of your chosen player. On the off chance that none of your chosen player’s home fields are in the WIS database, use WIS park. You are not required to include your chosen player on your roster, but you can do so if you wish. Alignment will be random. Please join by entering a post below, and I’ll generate your random date and then send you the league number by site mail. I’ll ask a volunteer to obtain my random date. The deadline for entering your roster will be set for 7 days after the 24th owner signs up, so please don’t sign up unless you can meet that timeframe. Thank you!
