No one's trying to ban the books, Jesus. I don't think any books should be "banned." I also think that we have a right to choose what books to promote. Not the same thing.

As for cakes, I agree. It's not the end of the world. However, that issue is more important because it's an important legal precedent.

I heart it was over images and also due to the fact that only 2% of his characters were "people of color." No mention was made if the green grinch counted in that category.

Also, apparently it's just the six books in question, not Seuss's entire catalogue, which makes the action a billion times more defensible.

Why the **** would I be scared of a publisher independently deciding not to continue publishing six books that clearly, whether you agree or disagree, have some racially charged drawings?
