One thing is clear L&F, TRUMP had it right. He was right on the border, on energy policy, jobs...everything. The good old days.
What is the evidence that he was "right" on energy policy or the border?
Hmmmmmm..........................

I'll take a wild guess. Gas prices and millions of people from over 160 different countries. Just a wild guess.

I’ll do it guys, don’t worry:

Doug…what policy did Trump have in regards to gas prices?

As for the other thing, alluding to what I had said, that you don’t actually care about policy and know nothing: “A record 1.7 million migrants from around the world, many of them fleeing pandemic-ravaged countries, were encountered trying to enter the United States illegally in the past 12 months, and over the past 12 months, the Border Patrol has carried out more than 1 million expulsions of migrants back to Mexico or to the migrants’ home countries.” The policies haven’t actually changed that much, but you don’t actually care about the policies.

I got this one guys, don't worry.

U....Trump promoted production.

As for the other thing ; the border was secure and now it isn't.

Easy...huh?

U.S. oil production set to increase further in 2022

”He added that he has been on two calls where the U.S. energy secretary asked companies to increase production.”

flipping idiot. you said one ******* thing and it’s exactly what Biden is doing, you absolute comically inept imbecile.

The border is in fact more secure with Biden; he’s setting a record for apprehensions. Trump never was able to catch that many people. You should be upset that he lied to you about how secure the border was, since Biden has caught more.

You turd blossom. Like I said policies mean nothing to you.

Now now.....temper.

Why would we have to ask for increased production when just over 1 year ago we were energy independent and a net exporter of energy?

I want you to take a time out.

Performative nonsense with zero substance about the question as always.

Also, how was Trump better than Biden on jobs when Biden got employment levels back to pre-pandemic numbers in less than a year? Whatever, it makes more sense to stick my tongue in an outlet than trying to engage Doug in a good faith question.
so why bother wasting your time doing so? Contrary to any and all evidence, Doug will believe what he wants to believe. Nothing (such as facts) is gonna change his mind.

Poll: Biden is losing Texas Latino voters over his handling of the border crisis

by Christopher Tremoglie

| February 01, 2022 11:12 AM

Ominous signs for the Biden administration continue as a recent poll from the Dallas Morning News shows that less than 1 in 3 people (32%) approve of Biden's handling of the immigration crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. This total includes 65% of Democratic voters, 20% of independent voters, and 37% of Latino voters.

Perhaps most importantly, the poll showed that 49% of Latino voters either disapproved or strongly disapproved of Biden's handling of the border crisis.

Biden and other Democrats have touted most illegal immigrants are families fleeing gang violence, looking for sanctuary and safety in the United States. This is not true.

Although there were many unaccompanied children and family units, the data showed that “by far the largest number and share of encounters" — 64% in 2021 — "involved single adults.”

Additionally, statistics show the Biden administration heading in the wrong direction when it comes to illegal immigrants. The border crisis, whose existence Biden and border czar Kamala Harris deny, has also resulted in illegal immigrant encounters more than doubling in every sector along the U.S.-Mexico border in 2021. The biggest increase was in the Rio Grande Valley sector in Texas.

Furthermore, the U.S.-Mexico border is plagued with child trafficking. It has become a pathway for murderous cartels to exploit young children and illegally smuggle them at the border. In many cases, smugglers use children to take advantage of U.S. immigration loopholes that permit children and those accompanying them to be prioritized when entering the country. Once these children have served their purpose, they are frequently abandoned or abused by their handlers and, in many horrifying instances, live a life of de facto slavery. Most recently, there was the revelation that the Biden administration is secretly flying these illegal immigrants and settling them in the U.S. interior.

Hi, the one thing you said Trump did? Biden is doing it. Again, policies mean nothing to you.

We’ve never been energy independent.

Good thing Biden has apprehended more illegals crossing in a 12 month span than any president ever! Thanks for keeping the border secure Joe!

I’ll copy and paste for you, you blithering idiot.

In response to the massive attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil infrastructure this weekend, U.S. President Donald Trump has trumpeted that America’s new oil abundance cushions the disruption and boosts strategic stocks, arguing that building more oil pipelines will help protect Americans from oil price shocks.

In reality, the attack on Abqaiq, the world’s most critical oil facility, is a stark reminder that the United States is not energy independent, nor can it go it alone when it comes to diplomacy in the world’s most critical oil-producing region. Energy security comes from being more, not less, connected with the rest of the world.

In 2006, the United States imported 60 percent of its oil. As a result of the shale boom, it will be a net exporter of oil annually by next year. Trump administration officials have repeatedly trumpeted that freedom from oil imports means what happens in oil-producing countries in the Persian Gulf no longer matters to the United States, whether it is a supply outage such as this weekend’s or an OPEC production cut.

This weekend’s attack—allegedly conducted by Iran, although claimed by the Yemeni Houthis—belies these claims. In response to the sophisticated attacks on the Abqaiq processing facility, Saudi Arabia shut down nearly 6 million barrels per day of production—the largest oil supply disruption on record. Oil prices soared.

Oil is priced in a global market, so prices in the United States move with the world price whether we import or not. U.S. gasoline prices reflect world oil prices, albeit with a lag. Wholesale gasoline prices spiked when markets opened after the attack. Drivers will soon see the effects when they fill up at the pump.

The fact is, while the United States may not import oil on a net basis, it still imports a vast amount of oil even as it exports oil and petroleum products. U.S. imports of oil from Saudi Arabia have fallen over the past decade, but only modestly, to just below 1 million barrels per day last year.

Congress saw fit over the past several years to sell off roughly half of America’s strategic oil reserves to fund other priorities, based on the misperception that the United States has become energy independent. The resulting price spike at the pump will reveal that decision was short-sighted. A massive, temporary oil supply disruption of this kind is exactly what the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) was created to mitigate.

The vulnerability of U.S. consumers to global oil price spikes depends not on how much oil the United States imports, but on how much it consumes. The best way to insulate drivers from inevitable oil price shocks is to reduce how much oil we use in the first place. In this light, the Trump administration’s decision to roll back fuel-economy standards is also misguided.

Go ahead and copy and past it professor.

And Joe Biden making the border secure? Everyone is laughing at you.
