is basketballreference.com (or similar) the arbiter of who played on a given squad? my example is that irl JR Smith played for the 19-20 Lakers but didn't log the 200-minute minimum required to field a proper WiS player season (but I would twist him anyway) - would he be available for me to draft?

All rosters are based on WiS Rosters.

Yeah. Trying to keep it consistent. Since s played in the WiS sim, I’d like o use the WiS rosters.

How do you want to handle teams before the 1983-1984 season? Before that, there were only 3 rounds of playoffs so only 3 teams beaten. I’d like to see people being allowed 4 prisoners still just has to be from teams they beat.

I was searching for an answer to this very question.

Suggestion: add the 4th prisoner from one of the teams that the finals opponent defeated on their run to the finals.

Yes, but 95-96 Stockton Malone and Hakeem are pretty nice consolations.
