How long have you played WIS NBA Basketball?
14 years.
What type of leagues do you primarily play (Open, Fun Themes, Competitive Themes, Progs, etc)?
Open
What do you think is so important to fix that it needs to be prioritized first, even if it's just a band-aid fix?
State Farm or possibly fatigue. I'm kind against teams that rest guys one game then play 48mins the next, then rest and then 48 and so on, I'm not sure if there is way to fix this though.
What thing do you think needs to be completely re-worked, re-structured, and/or completely scrapped, keeping in mind that a new engine is almost certainly required for any major revolutionary change?
Agree with everyone - Def Ratings, position effectiveness and salary structure, all need to be looked at.
What other changes would you like to see? Go as crazy as you like.
I think there will always be exploits, it will take major overhaul to the the game to stop them. The only way I can see to stop the exploits is that the players salaries should be tied to how popular they are in the game, I'm unsure how that work in reality but I think it could keep the game fresh and interesting - Just use base salaries and go from there - a slight percentage increased every time they are picked- Stockton should be about 20mill by now. lol.
Also I never understood why I can't see the details of my past teams. I.e. Who was in that team I created a few months ago, I have no idea because its been deleted or which players took me to the title in 2008, again those details are gone(I think it was Kobe and Kevin Johnson backcourt) but I think it would be cool to look back and to see how certain teams went (maybe its just me?) - This is text based sim and the storage needed to keep such records would be very minimal and wouldn't cost much to keep in a data store.
