Teammate Clone Chain
This is the sixth installment of my popular Teammate Chain League. They are always a challenge to build. This time around the teams will be made up of an anchor player and 12 sets of cloned teammates. Twelve players must be linked together in a chain. The other twelve clones do not. I admit that I am a clone fanatic. Even if you aren't I hope you will consider joining.
League Rules
1.) When you join you will select an exclusive player and one season of his career as your anchor.
2.) Your anchor player maybe a teammate on any other team but not used as an anchor.
3.) The team and season of your anchor is also exclusive. No one else may use a player from that team and season as anchor or the 3 prior or next 3 seasons for that team. Example: If you choose 1994 Greg Maddox as your anchor, no one can use any season for Greg Maddox as anchor. They may not use any player from the 1991 to 1997 Atlanta Braves as an anchor.
4.) You will choose a teammate from your anchor's team and season and draft 2 of his seasons. This is your first pair of clones. Choose a teammate of one of these clones and draft 2 of his seasons. You continue drafting pairs of clones using only one of them to keep your chain connected.
5.) There is one more restriction when drafting. You may not go back to the same team and season when drafting. You can have more than one team per season as long as they are different franchises. You may go backwards or forwards in time and change directions as many times as you want. You just can't go back to the same team twice. Clones do NOT have to go in the same direction.
6.) I will refer to clones that make up your chain as Chain Clones (CC). Clones that are not part of the chain will be called Loose Clones (LC). You will have 12 CC and 12 LC and one anchor when done drafting.
7.) You may use baseball reference.com to find teammates but obviously you will need to draft WiS eligible seasons for all clones
8.) All season are eligible including 2021 when it comes out

Example: Anchor 1994 Greg Maddox ..First clones: 1996 John Smoltz (CC), 2003 John Smoltz (LC). Second clones: 2002 Chipper Jones (CC), 2008 Chipper Jones (LC), Third Clones: 1996 Gary Sheffield (CC), 2000 Gary Sheffield (LC) and so forth until 12 clones.

Help me understand Rule#5. Are you saying none of my 25 players can be from the same season and team? So if one of my LC clones comes from the 2015 Astros for instance I can't end up using a 2015 Astro season for another one of my LC clones later on?
Or if I use 2015 Greinke as my anchor I can't use 2015 Kershaw as a teammate clone?

Now that I read rule #5 again, I'm needing some clarification too on what ron is asking. I thought you could draft more than one player from the same team's season except your original. Ex: Kershaw and Jansen from 2016 by just hopping back and forth.

That is correct. I am trying to enforce diversity. If you take 2015 Grienke you must use a different season for Kershaw, No one else can start their chain with 2015 Kershaw but they can use him as a clone

You may not use the same team and season twice. In essence you will have 25 different teams though you may have as many different teams from one season as you want. Just not the same team and season.. I don't want a team entered made up of 25 2015-2021 Dodgers.

This is a new rule because for the first time you may go back and forth in time. In previous versions you could only go forwards or backwards so this rule was not necessary. You couldn't have 2016 Kershaw and Jansen because you had to keep going forwards or backwards.
