This has been a quick draft. They usually take six to eight weeks.

Don’t believe anything I say. Except this…our last draft started on 8/1 and finished on 8/17, so this is pretty much par for the course. I don’t understand why they don’t go faster, but I am retired and my kids are grown so I don’t have to worry about things like working and getting the kids to go to sleep.

I always wondered what would happen if we set a time, say 1:00 on a Saturday, and got everyone to stop what they’re doing and just draft for a couple of hours. The optimistic me says we could knock out the whole draft in one afternoon. The pessimistic me says there is no way we could get 24 people together at the same time.

I’ve also thought about that. If one or two people had a list of cell phone numbers and people could be texted when they’re up. Sending a site mail doesn’t do much.

Feels like there could be a more efficient way. I’ve done slow drafts playing Fantasy baseball and football on NFC. 1 or 2 hr pick times with an auto pick at the end of the time slot.

I’m enjoying it, just good to know what to expect regarding the length of the draft.

This is par for the course. Sometimes people can't check in because life gets in the way.

The commish doesn't have time to be texting people to draft. If someone wants to take over I will gladly step down.

You do a great job commish and we appreciate your time and effort A published draft time schedule , email ( sitemail ) notifications, and proxy options are plenty of considerations to keep things moving reasonably ...

Would love to do a 6 player live auction draft then use undrafted to fill out the rest of the roster. Probably impossible but fun to think about!
