Championship Results

If an aggregate tie occurs, the home side for the first tiebreaker game will be decided by a coin flip and we will continue alternating home fields until a Champion is crowned. All games complete.

We now have 24 entries, making an even 4 teams in each Group. I withdrew my own team since it just completed it's first season and would get destroyed by all of you. If we get additional entries before the 7pm deadline, a group or two may need to go to 5 teams. We'll see.

The Group Stage is now underway so feel free to start scheduling. The time frame for Group games to be scheduled is through the 27th. You'll play a home and away against each opponent, so you'll be sending and receiving a challenge with each team in your group.

Here's a good rule of thumb - If you receive an incoming challenge in the same slot you have sent an outgoing challenge, please accept the incoming challenge and re-issue your own. If you receive multiple incoming challenges in the same slot, choose one ASAP to give the team you auto-declined as much time as possible to issue a new request.

Spread your outgoing challenges out. There are 12 days in the Group State to schedule. Slot 10 is as good as Slot 1. If everybody uses slots 1, 2 and 3, there will be a traffic jam.

Make sure you are challenging the correct team. There are a lot of teams with similar names. You can always copy/paste the user ID from the participating teams list. There might be several teams with similar names but every ID is unique.

OK, everyone. It's time to lace up your cleats. Good luck and show no mercy. Goal differential is a tiebreaker.

I should have known it didn't look right since I was in the same conference with you 100 years ago at Kent State. I just rejoined Naismith at South Florida.

Thanks man - an undefeated National Champion at that! It was one of those seasons where everything just sort of fell into place.

There has already been a flurry of activity in the first 24 hours with 33 Group Stage games out of the 72 total having already been scheduled, including every game for Group E...which makes my job very easy. The first games are today and stretch out through the 25th.

Just so there is no confusion, there were several instances where more than one home game was scheduled between two teams. Unless I hear from both coaches...and they both agree to the same thing...the first game (earliest date) will count for the Group Stage table and the subsequent game (or games) will be just for fun. I understand that maybe multiple challenges were sent to assure at least one game got scheduled. I have done it myself.
